Fujinami Dojo Anniversary
2025
The Fujinami Dojo celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025. To mark the occasion, a two-day seminar was organised, bringing together more than 100 participants. The dojo’s head instructor, Master Travaglini, asked me to create a special merchandise collection to be sold during the event.
The project began with the creation of a dedicated 10th-anniversary logo, followed by the creative development of the merchandise, including T-shirts, pens, stickers, pins and lanyards.

Japanese drawings & Japanese stamps

The main visual elements were the wisteria — fuji in Japanese — and the wave — nami. These two elements also come together in the name Fujinami, making them a natural starting point for the visual identity. The project was also a wonderful opportunity to discover the notebooks of Yuzan Mori, who, in the early 20th century, filled three entire notebooks with beautiful studies and drawings of waves and water. His work became an important source of inspiration for the visual development of the collection.
Each participant received a small pouch containing five wisteria seeds and instructions on how to grow them into bloom.
